The Children's Place Names Nina Miner Chief Creative Officer

SECAUCUS, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 18, 2005--The Children's Place Retail Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLCE), today announced that Nina Miner, 56, has been named Chief Creative Officer for The Children's Place brand. In this capacity, Ms. Miner will be responsible for delivering one consistent brand message to consumers. In addition to design and trend development, Ms. Miner will now oversee creative services and visual merchandising. Brian Kleinberg, Senior Vice President of Marketing, will continue to steer the Company's overall marketing strategy and to execute programs that build long-term brand equity, customer loyalty and drive customer traffic. Both Ms. Miner and Mr. Kleinberg will continue to report to Neal Goldberg, President of The Children's Place.
