The Children's Place Promotes Nina Miner to Senior Vice President, Design & Trend Development

SECAUCUS, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 21, 2004--The Children's Place Retail Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLCE), today announced that Nina Miner, 55, has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Design & Trend Development, from her previous position of Vice President, Design & Trend Development.

Ms. Miner joined The Children's Place in 1990 as Vice President, Design and Product Development and over the past 14 years has led the design and trend departments of The Children's Place. Prior to The Children's Place, Ms. Miner held various management positions at E.J. Gitano.
